About

Welcome to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

I am Meirong Wang, chief acupuncturist at NOVA Acupuncture and Moxibustion Clinic. I graduated from China’s Chengdu University of Chinese Traditional Medicine in 1991. For 20 years after graduation, I interned and then practiced under well-known Chinese Traditional doctors, accumulating rich experience and becoming an expert in treating acute and chronic pain, digestive disorders, sports injuries and depression, as well as providing rehabilitation treatment for stroke patients.

In 2010, sponsored by the Mid-European Acupuncture and TCM Association, I visited Germany on teaching and training assignments, and provided guidance and support to the ZenTraMed Clinic in Munich, especially in their research and treatment of insomnia, depression, bi-syndrome, pain syndrome, and infertility. Over a 6-month period, I personally treated over 140 patients for over 600 treatments.

In 2012, I came to the United States, passed NCCAOM Federal Acupuncturist certification and California Acupuncturist Certification, became a licensed acupuncturist (L. Ac.) in Virginia, and started my acupuncture clinic. From 2013 to 2018, I taught acupuncture and supervised clinical work at the Virginia campus of South Baylo University (Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) in Annandale, and was a practitioner at NOVA Acupuncture & Moxibustion Clinic.

Whether you are seeking a cure in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine or just exploring alternative treatment for your old conditions, I welcome you and thank you for your choice of my clinic. I am confident that this choice of yours will prove to be one of the best decisions you have ever made.
